Batman hopped into Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet. She zoomed away, and soon they were flying above the waterworks. Down below, Batman could see a truck pulling up to a water tank. In the back of the truck were tanks full of a green concoction. The Penguin waddled up to the truck.

What’s going on down there? Batman wondered.

Wonder Woman flicked an invisible switch, and the voices from below filled the cockpit.

“The Joker may be captured, but he’ll have the last laugh,” the Penguin said. “Once we dump this stuff into the water tank, anyone who takes a shower in Gotham City will end up with green hair!”

“Ugh!” said Wonder Woman. “That’s a crime against coolness. Let’s stop this.”

She parked the silent Invisible Jet behind a nearby water tank. The Penguin and his thugs had no idea they’d been spotted. They talked and joked as they unloaded the truck.

Bam! Batman appeared out of nowhere and started taking down thugs.

Whoosh! Wonder Woman wrapped her lasso around the Penguin.

“Sorry to crash this diabolical party,” Batman said. “But the fun is over.”

They delivered the Penguin to Arkham Asylum and then returned to City Hall, where the Justice League was helping Commissioner Gordon get resettled.

“Batman! Did you get the Penguin?” Superman asked.

“We did,” Batman said. “So you guys can go now.”

“But we should celebrate,” Cyborg piped up. “We could—”

“Seriously,” Batman said. “Thanks and everything, but you know—just … go.”

The Justice League members took off, and Batman gave a sigh.

Gotham City was his once more.
